How It Works
Make a Post
Selling your hiking boots? Giving away a tent? Post it with a short description, location, and whether it’s free or for sale.
Meet & Swap in person
Coordinate in DMs. Most trades happen locally, often in hostels, cafés, or coworking spaces. Be respectful, kind, and safe.
Why we built this
Backpacking means moving light. We often buy things we need for one leg of the trip… and then don’t need them later.
Instead of throwing them away or leaving them behind, why not pass them on?
The Journi Marketplace is a pay-it-forward space where generosity meets practicality. Many items are free - and that’s what makes it beautiful. But you’re welcome to sell too, as long as it’s fair.
Community Guidelines
Be honest about the item’s condition
Always meet in public places
First come, first served — no bidding wars
Price items fairly (or better yet, give them away)
No commercial reselling
No spamming or off-topic posts
